Discover Lisbon

Art, Tradition and Culture …
An experience you will never forget!

Come discover Lisbon and its 7 hills overlooking the Tagus river and with its unique light.
Portugal’s capital after its conquest from the Moors in 1147, Lisbon is a city with many legends and more than 20 centuries of History.
We should not forget that Lisbon is the most important tourist centre in the country.
Lisbon invites you to visit its downtown Pombaline buildings with their tile-covered façades. Bairro Alto and Alfama are typical quarters with narrow medieval streets where the sound of the fado is heard and night entertainment happens.
Its museums and its stores will stay in your memory …
Come with us and discover Castelo de S. Jorge (St. George’s Castle) from where you can see Lisbon in all its magnificence, the old Mouraria quarter, the Sé Patriarcal (Cathedral) and the Pombaline downtown.
In Belém, where the Tagus River begins, you can visit the Mosteiro dos Jerónimos (Hieronymite Monastery) and the Torre de Belém (Belém Tower). The Monastery, which is one of the finest examples of the Manueline architecture and the Torre de Belém, which was built in the Portuguese Discoveries period, are two of the most striking monuments of Lisbon. UNESCO classified both as “World Heritage Sites “.
Further in our journey we find Basílica da Estrela, which stands atop a hill in the western area of the city.
In the outskirts of the city, Sintra is a must – a Romantic setting and a destination that many international writers chose. Places that are worth visiting: the Castelo dos Mouros (Castle of the Moors), built on top of the Sintra hill that offers a wonderful view, the Quinta da Regaleira, the Cabo da Roca (Cape Roca) as the westernmost point of the European continent, and the Palácio Nacional da Pena (Pena National Palace) which was built in 1839 and is one of the best examples of Romanticism.
Sintra cultural landscape may be enjoyed in horse-drawn carriages that take us through centuries of history.
The Palácio de Queluz (Queluz Palace) and the Convento de Mafra (Mafra Monastery) are located not far from Sintra.
Along the coastline you will find Cascais, Estoril and Ericeira, tourist destinations due to its beaches, landscapes, sports potential and a fantastic climate.
