In the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, all processes and procedures have been reviewed with the aim of ensuring greater confidence and safety for our customers and employees.
Hotel Roma strictly complies with all the guidelines issued by the Directorate-General for Health. Our employees are properly equipped with the personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriate to their duties.
• Alcohol-based disinfectant solution dispensers have been placed in public areas.
• Signage has been placed in public areas to ensure social distancing.
• Customers must wear masks whenever they move around or remain in public areas. In the Restaurant, Wine-Bar and Breakfast Room, wearing a mask is not compulsory, but is recommended after the end of the meal.
• Hotel Roma is certified with the CLEAN&SAFE label.You should contact the Hotel Reception and a mask will be provided.
In the event of a suspected COVID infection, we recommend that you remain in your room and inform reception immediately. You should then contact the health authorities on the SNS24 line - 808 24 24 24.
If necessary, Hotel Roma has a room prepared for a guest to remain in quarantine until the health authorities have assessed the situation and decided on the next steps to take.To ensure the safety of all customers and staff, keys are sanitised before being handed over to guests. Luggage is also sanitised on arrival.
We reviewed all the hygiene and safety procedures and processes:
• The staff responsible for sanitising the rooms are equipped with masks, gloves, eye protection, disposable caps and disposable plastic aprons,
• Bed linen and towels are removed at least 20 minutes after the guest's departure and then sanitised.
• The room remains at rest for 24 hours, and only after this time is it assigned to another guest.Yes. With the reinforcement of the cleaning and security processes, daily cleaning is ensured with the following proviso: it is only carried out when guests are not present in the room.
Yes. If you prefer, the room will not be sanitised during your stay. To do so, they must inform Reception or place a ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign outside the door for the duration of their stay.
The lifts are working in accordance with the standards issued by the DGS. The capacity of the lifts is adjusted to the current situation in the context of a pandemic, and due social distancing must be observed.

It is not possible to book rooms for day use through our website, so please contact our reservations department. However, we don't have rates for daily use; you will always be charged for one night without breakfast plus the corresponding tourist tax.

A non-cancellable reservation means that you will always be charged the full amount of your stay if you cancel or if you don't show up at the hotel (No Show).

Children up to and including the age of 12 do not pay when sharing the same room with two adults. From 13 to 18 years old, they pay 50% of their stay in the same room as booked.
All occupants of the room, regardless of age, must present a valid identification document (Citizen's Card, Passport or Residence Permit).
If the child is not accompanied by a parent, an official declaration authorising the stay with the accompanying person must be presented. Without this document, check-in will not be authorised.Cots are provided free of charge, subject to hotel availability. Extra beds, depending on the type of room chosen and the age of the child, may have an associated cost.

Unless otherwise stated, our prices include all legal fees in force at the time of booking, with the exception of the Municipal Tourist Tax.
This tax is never included in the price of the room. In accordance with the law in force, it is charged to all occupants of the room, over the age of 13, for a maximum of 7 consecutive nights, regardless of whether the guests are nationals or foreigners. For guests staying for medical reasons, the tax is exempt for the guest and a companion sharing the same room.

After this period, the Hotel does not undertake to match a lower price that may be available elsewhere on the internet.Rates are dynamic and vary according to occupancy rates, demand and the time of year. A stay on a Full Board basis includes the 3 main meals without drinks included. Half board includes breakfast and dinner or lunch without drinks included.
A credit card is always required to guarantee the booking. At check-in you can use another means of payment to settle the booking. Hotel Roma accepts payments by cash, MB Way, VISA, VISA Electron, AMEX, Mastercard. Our terminals are equipped with ‘contacless’ technology.
Cheque payments are not accepted.
At hotels in Portugal, in accordance with Law no. 92/2017 of 22 August, payments or receipts involving amounts equal to or greater than 3,000 euros (10,000.00 euros for non-residents) cannot be made in cash, and alternative means such as credit card or bank transfer must be used.Yes. If you choose a prepaid rate, the total amount of your booking will be charged immediately. If you choose a rate with payment at the hotel, no amount will be taken from your card. However, the Hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise the credit card, with the amount corresponding to one night, to check its validity.
The total amount to be paid will be confirmed with the client at check-in. The amount blocked in the pre-authorisation will be cancelled and refunded to the card (the number of days for the amount to be available on the client's card varies depending on the bank and whether it belongs to a national or foreign account).
The customer can choose to pay for the booking with the same card, or use an alternative means.

No. Hotel Roma only accepts card payments that belong to the booking holder.
Check-in on the day of arrival is available from 15.00. On the day of departure you must leave the room by 12 noon.
If you wish to stay in the room after 12 noon on the day of departure (Late Check-Out) you must make this request at the time of booking, or ask at Reception as far in advance as possible. Late check-outs incur costs and are subject to hotel availability.
Check-in before 3pm on the day of arrival (Early Check-In) must be requested at the time of booking, may involve an additional cost and is subject to hotel availability.

Yes, all rooms have a safe for free use. The password to open the safe is set by the guest. Hotel Roma recommends using the safe.
Yes, all rooms have a Mini-Bar. Please note that we do not recommend storing medicines in the Mini-Bar, for this we recommend contacting Reception.
Yes, we have a certified CCTV system for the safety of our guests and staff. This system does not record sound.

Hotel Roma's reception is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year, and confirmed and guaranteed reservations are held until the guest arrives.Yes, however, as places are very limited, it is not possible to book in advance. Availability must be checked with Reception at check-in.
The hotel does not prevent you from ordering takeaway, but you will have to go to the Lobby to take your order. For security reasons, we do not allow couriers to go up to the rooms.

If the booking was made on the Hotel Roma website, with our reservations department or directly at the Hotel, the invoice will be sent to the e-mail account indicated by the client.
If the booking has been made and paid for by organisations outside the Hotel, they are responsible for issuing the invoice for the stay.Only duly identified assistance dogs are allowed at the Hotel Roma and there is no additional charge.

No. Hotel Roma is a ‘No Smoking’ establishment. In addition to the rooms, smoking is not permitted in the lifts, public areas, breakfast room, restaurant, wine bar and meeting rooms.
